It took along time.

When we get hurt by someone, or if someone does us wrong, we mourn. We sometimes cry, maybe even silently mourn when we hurt. My first thought after I’ve had fallouts with relationships or my friends, was not very forgiving. Honestly, forgiving those who have hurt us in small ways or dramatic ways, isn’t easy. In my heart, every time I would try to forgive someone, it always hurt to forgive the behavior. I’ve been in a relationship before where the behavior is consistent, and they always said sorry for whatever happened or what they said to me that was hurtful.  So what did they say at the end? They said I’m sorry. Was I forgiving? No because in my head I didn’t believe it. But when it comes down to it we sin over and over and over. And over and over. We tell God we are sorry and he always forgives. The love that God has for us with his mercy and how he forgives us over and over is amazing. In order to forgive others through love and also set our selves free, we have to pray and ask God to help us share the same mercy that he has.

Ephesians 4:32King James Version (KJV)

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Sounds so easy, but in our minds sometimes forgiveness can hurt.

But our sins hurt God, and there is sin we commit everyday that his unconditional love covers.

The world tells us when we go through toxic relationships, we don’t have forgive this or that because blah blah blah.

We present ourselves as victims as if there’s no one else with worse of hurt then what were feeling.

We can hurt believing God heals. But God forgives us with no second thought. To become more like Christ we need to forgive like he does and pray for those who hurt us.

Because when we sin against God, he still loves and thinks of us just the same..

Matthew 5:44King James Version (KJV)

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

It took along time for me to do ask God for help forgiving.Screenshot_20170527-225245

  1. I love your blog. You talk about many things we women go through and think about. Your scripture verses are point on. I am glad you have learned why it is so important to talk to God first thing in the morning before you start your day. Last thought…maybe you would have a favorite book if I introduced you to some 🙂
